Preconference workshops
You'll have the unique opportunity to get an intensive training from reputable experts.
You can choose to follow a 2-day workshop on the risk assessment in sex offenders. During this workshop you'll learn how to apply the so-called SSA-methodology, integrating the Static-99R, the Stable 2007 and the Acute-2007 in your asssessment of the offender. This workshop will be offered in Dutch.
Or you can learn more about the use of different treatment models during a 1-day workshop. Also the crucial role of the therapist and the treatment outcome will be discussed.
Plenary lectures
You will be inspired by a diverse range of high quality lectures offered by renomated experts from Belgium, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK and the USA. These experts will critically discuss current views and research data on hot topics related to the assessment (day 1) and treatment (day 2) of sex offenders. In addition, they will share their thoughts on necessary future avenues in both research and practice.
Conference workshops
On the second day of the conference, you'll get the unique opportunity to obtain in-depth information on specific sex offender groups from leading international experts. More specifically, you'll be able to choose 2 topics that fascinate you and/or are closely related to your field.
